Mark’s Daily Apple reported that two recent studies found evidence that if you drink wine in moderation (two glasses a day or less), you will build up stronger immunity and resistance to cold viruses than those who abstain. However, if you’re a smoker, this benefit doesn’t apply to you. One of the studies from Spain found that people who drank 8-14 glasses a week (especially red wine) reduced their risk of getting a cold by up to 60%.

Bonus: Red wine is also packed with the vital antioxidant, reservatrol.
